Canary Islands registers 68 deaths of people with coronavirus after the data count carried out at 8:00 p.m. by the Ministry of Health of the Canary Government. Six deaths in one day accumulate 28 deaths so far this week, While diagnosed cases show containment, with 64, and they already add up 1,444 cases since the start of the pandemic.
The balance of Monday of last week at 8:00 p.m. closed with five deaths, the highest number until then, a figure that was equal on Tuesday. On Wednesday, for the first time this week, deaths fell from five, to just three, the same as Thursday. However, nine deaths on Friday were a rebound and the highest number of deaths in a single day so far. On Saturday the deaths were reduced to three and on Sunday the downward trend was maintained with a single death, something that gave rise to a hope shattered with the data of this Monday and which have not improved much in the last two days.
The 64 more cases of Covid-19 diagnosed on Wednesday over the 1,380 cases on Tuesday raise to 240 this week’s diagnostic count.
This Wednesday at noon, with data from the Ministry -which belongs to Tuesday-, of the 1,380 infected cases 532 remained hospitalized, 110 in ICU and 77 registrations were also counted.
Statistics from the Ministry of Health are closed between 20:00 and 21:00 the day before, and cases after that date are not included as officers until the close of the following day.
