Coronavirus in the Canary Islands | Five deceased increase to 16 the dead in the Canary Islands – La Provincia

Canary registers 16 deaths of people with coronavirus after the data count carried out at 9:00 p.m. by the Ministry of Health of the Canary Government. Five deaths more have occurred this Monday, adding to the 11 registered in previous days.

The balance of Friday at 8:00 p.m. closed with five deaths, which were joined by two new ones that occurred on the island of Gran Canaria on the Friday before midnight. On Saturday the virus claimed two new lives, a figure similar to this Sunday. This Monday the greatest number of deaths occurred in a single day.

Total, the Archipelago accumulates 557 cases infected by Covid-1976 more than on Sunday, the number with the highest increase since the crisis began. This data, together with the increase of 67 on Saturday over Friday, represents an increase of 143 cases in two days. In turn, there are 270 more cases than last Thursday.

This Monday at noon, with data from the Ministry, which handled 481 total infected cases, 32 of them hospitalized in the ICU, there were also seven discharges.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health are closed between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. the previous day and that cases after that date are not included as officers until the next day’s close.
