Canary Islands registers 24 deaths of people with coronavirus after the data count carried out at 8:00 p.m. by the Ministry of Health of the Canary Government. Three more deaths occurred this Wednesday, in addition to the 21 registered in previous days and so far this week there have been 13 deaths.
The balance of Friday at 8:00 p.m. closed with five deaths, which were joined by two new ones that occurred on the island of Gran Canaria on the Friday before midnight. On Saturday the virus claimed two new lives, a figure similar to this Sunday. This Monday there were five, the highest number of deaths in a single day until then and this Tuesday equaled the number of deaths in one day. This Wednesday, for the first time this week, deaths drop below five.
Total, the Archipelago accumulates 784 cases infected by Covid-19 this Wednesday which are 127 more than 657 on Tuesday. There has been the largest increase from one day to the next to date since the crisis began. Tuesday’s increase from Monday was 100 cases, while Monday’s from Sunday was 76. These data imply that 303 coronavirus positives have occurred so far this week. At the same time, 673 more cases than last Thursday.
This Wednesday at noon, with data from the Ministry, which handled 657 total infected cases, 43 of them hospitalized in the ICU, there were also 15 discharges.
Statistics from the Ministry of Health are closed between 20:00 and 21:00 the day before, and cases after that date are not included as officers until the close of the following day.
