Coronavirus in the Canary Islands: Arrested for refusing to leave the hospital after discharge – La Provincia


National Police officers have arrested a 38-year-old man like alleged perpetrator of a crime of resistance and disobedience. The detainee refused to leave the bed he occupied after being discharged; he had apparently had an epileptic seizure.

The detainee had gone to University Hospital of Canarias having had an epileptic seizure hours before. After being treated and received the medical discharge, he refused to leave the bed he occupied in the emergency unit.

In this situation, the National Police services, going to the place to try to solve the generated problem. Despite using all the skill in trying to convince the patient to put down his attitude and collaborate, in order that leave the dependencies of the HospitalHe continued to flatly refuse. At a given moment, he attacked one of the intervening agents, and at that moment proceeded to arrest him and transfer him to police units to process the corresponding proceedings.
Through the crowded proceeding, the corresponding Guard Court was reported.

The performances have been carried out by national police of the La Laguna National Police Station.
