Antigua prohibits the entry into port of a cruise ship that now travels to Tenerife, the Costa Luminosa, which a day before stopped in San Juan de Puerto Rico. The reason is that on board an Italian tourist was traveling with symptoms compatible with a coronavirus infection.
The woman required medical assistance after presenting flu symptoms that could be associated with COVID-19. The medical staff of the Costa Luminosa cruise diagnosed the 68-year-old woman with pneumonia, but the doctors who treated her at the Ashford Presbyterian Hospital, where she was in isolation, requested that she be tested for the coronavirus because she comes from the area northern Italy, where there are currently 16 million people in quarantine to prevent the spread of the disease.
The government of Antigua prevents you from entering the cruise #CostaLuminosa. The ship, which docked yesterday in San Juan with an Italian tourist who has suspicious symptoms of #coronavirus # COVID19, goes to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in Spain. #Puerto Rico https://t.co/peShVV5ycH
