Coronavirus in the Canary Islands: 382 new infections and one deceased by coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the Canary Islands – La Provincia

Canarias has registered in the last 24 hours 382 positives of Covid-19a new daily record and surpassing by one the 381 of yesterday Thursday-, with the number of accumulated cases since the start of the pandemic at 8,334while the islands have had to regret a new death in Tenerife, and 179 people have lost their lives in the archipelago due to the coronavirus.

According to the data that the Regional Ministry of Health publishes daily after 2:00 p.m., the active cases this Thursday are 5,294 (+374), and the recovered patients stood at 2,861 (+23).

Of the current patients, 5,069 are in home isolation (+361); 183 admitted to the hospital ward (+7) –139 in Gran Canaria (+8), 29 in Tenerife (-3), 12 in Lanzarote (+2), two in Fuerteventura and one in La Gomera–; and 42 in an Intensive Care Unit (+6) –32 in Gran Canaria (+5), 9 in Tenerife (+1) and one in Lanzarote–.


By islands, Gran Canaria it continues to lead in number of cases with 4,526 accumulated positives (+277 compared to this Thursday), of which 3,622 are active (3,451 of them in isolation). Currently, the island has registered 51 deaths and 853 medical discharges (+6).

Of the active positives there are, 3,022 are in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (+222). –26 in the ICU (+4), 130 admitted to the ward (+9) and 2,866 in home isolation (+209) -.

After Gran Canaria, the number of cases is the island of Tenerife, with 2,542 (+35), of which 921 are active. Also in the general calculation, Tenerife has suffered 115 deaths (+1), while 1,506 people have overcome the disease, the same as yesterday.

LanzaroteFor its part, it has registered a total of 715 cases (+54), of which 533 are active. In its balance, in the last 24 hours the death toll with seven people and medical discharges with 175.

As to Fuerteventura, which has not had to mourn any death from this virus, has recorded 338 cases (+14), of which 141 are active positives and 197 people have overcome the disease.

Follow him La Palma with 150 total cases (the same as yesterday), of which 28 are active after a medical discharge that places the total of people recovered at 116.

La Gomera and El Hierro, with 20 and 39 total cases, respectively, have not had deaths from the virus, although La Gomera maintains 9 active positives and eleven discharges; while El Hierro has 36 active cases, also accounting for three registrations.
