Confinement for the entire population decreed in Moscow

The Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobianin, today declared confinement for the entire population of the city as of Monday morning, as part of measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus causing COVID-19.

“As of tomorrow the self-isolation regime is implemented for all Moscow residents, regardless of age,” Sobianin wrote on his blog.

Until today, mandatory confinement has only been applied to people over 65 years of age and to those who suffer from chronic diseases.
