Compromís calls for measures for those affected by the cancellation of flights

Compromís Senator Carles Mulet has asked the Ministry of Transportation to defend those affected by the cancellation of flights due to the coronavirus crisis and negotiate mechanisms or compensation systems with airlines for 100% of the cost of the ticket of the people they planned a flight.

Mulet has pointed out that many people who had scheduled flights are losing money for their tickets (with some exceptions where airlines have made available alternative dates or ticket vouchers valid for one year) as a result of the coronavirus crisis and all alarm measures that, among others, have limited the movement and mobility of people.

The senator has asked, as reported in a statement, to know what measures the AESA (State Aviation Safety Agency) will implement to defend those affected, as it has done with other airline crises and by the decisions that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to repatriate "the hundreds of Spanish citizens who are abroad and have had their tickets canceled."
