With the acquiescence of the leadership of the PSOE led by Pedro Sánchez, the Andalusian PSOE has not placed in any prominent position akin to the federal leader in the lists to 2-D. In order to reign peace in the territory, Sanchez decided not to battle in this matter and leave Diaz total freedom in the preparation of candidacies.
But this Saturday in Fuenlabrada, in the meeting of the Federal Committee in Fuenlabrada that was held behind closed doors, representatives of the sanchismo in Andalusia took the floor to make clear this discomfort. It was the case of the secretary general of the PSOE in Dos Hermanas (Seville), Francisco Rodríguez, and Teba Roldán, from Córdoba, who aspired last September to lead the party in the province, but did not obtain sufficient endorsements to compete in primaries with Antonio Ruiz.
The secretary of Organization of the PSOE-A, Juan Cornejo, replied to the two, reminding them that the lists were approved unanimously by the respective provincial committees.
Beyond this debate, the meeting of the PSOE Federal Committee this Saturday has developed quickly and in a peaceful atmosphere, far from the turbulence that characterized these conclaves in the months before Sánchez was disbanded from the leadership of the party in October of 2016. After his return to Ferraz, Sanchez designed a Federal Committee to suit him, and with a majority of members related to his leadership.
The meeting this Saturday has served to formally ratify the lists to the Andalusian Parliament, proclaim the candidates for the presidencies of the Autonomous Communities in the elections of May 26 and open the calendar for the election of candidates to the municipal in those cities and towns of less than 20,000 inhabitants.
