Colombian cyclist Jarlinson Pantano, positive for Epo

Colombian cyclist Jarlinson Pantano has been suspended by his team, the Trek, after testing positive for Epo in a control out of competition, as announced by the UCI (International Cycling Union). The positive is pending that the second sample is analyzed (sample B) so, for now, the suspension is provisional.
Pantano came to the Trek in 2017 with Alberto Contador, after winning a stage of the Tour and another of the Tour of Switzerland in 2016. That was his best year and earned him the signing for the team that Alberto Contador had just arrived. His last victory was a stage of the Volta a Catalunya in 2018. In 2017 he was Colombian champion against the clock.
