Cirque du Soleil projects new functions of'Tótem' in Gran Canaria - The Province


Cirque du Soleil will arrive for the first time to the Canary Islands with its emblematic Carpa Blanca, the company's flagship, next summer. It will be with your show Totem, which will open its doors next July 5. Previously, the company had visited the Islands on three occasions, although always with their shows adapted to the sports pavilion.

Due to the expectation that has awakened the arrival of the Grand Tent, the company has put new functions on sale. The company plans to be in Meloneras, in the south of Gran Canaria, throughout the summer until September.

Totem disembarks in Gran Canaria after visiting 50 cities around the world, eleven of them European and five Spanish. The show has been seen by more than six million viewers from around the world.

Written and directed by the famed director Canadian Robert Lepage, Totem invites the public to a fascinating and acrobatic journey to the origins of humanity. Rich in colors and visually striking, the show is Lepage's second collaboration with the Canadian company, after Kà, which is currently represented permanently in Las Vegas since 2004. Totem He has received the prestigious Drama Desk Award for the Unique Theatrical Experience.
