The Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media (Cima) will be distributed at the Goya paipáis gala with the motto '#Jacob' to raise awareness among all professionals in the sector of the situations of abuse of power and sexual violence suffered by victims.
«Action is a call to women and men of audiovisual Spanish to not allow harassment situations to perpetuate," says Cima in a statement.
The association will thus show its support "to all victims who suffer harassment and who feel that their rights are violated" during the great Spanish film festival, which will be held in Valladolid this Saturday, February 10.
Cima is working on the creation of an urgent practical guide to response to cases of sexual violence and a map of specialized public resources to accompany women in the process and has created an email address for women who need information ([email protected]).
The Film Academy also announced last week that it will make visible the demand for an end to abuse in cinema during the Goya ceremony.
A complicated Saturday
This Saturday's gala in Valladolid looks complicated. There will be a demonstration against the autonomous government of PP-Voxcarnivals and most likely farmers' protests, which has led the authorities to deploy an "unprecedented" security device.
Units and groups of the National Police and the Civil Guard have planned coordinated action to guarantee citizen security, especially around the Goyas, as reported by the Government Delegation.
In the morning the demonstration called by the unions against the regional government, which begins at 11:30 a.m., with a meeting with the audience of the International Goya Award, the American Sigourney Weaver, at the Carrión Theater. Participants in the demonstration, which is expected to be massive, will walk through the streets of the city center and pass just a few meters from the theater.
A little further away it will be celebrated a street carnivalwhich will be repeated in the afternoon, and which will contribute to filling Valladolid with people.
Already in the afternoon, at the Valladolid Fairon the outskirts of the city, will be heldat the 38th edition of the Goya Awards, with the celebrities and nominees who will arrive at the venue starting at 6:00 p.m.
In addition to the nominees, the presence of the President of the Government is expected, Pedro Sanchezand four ministers, including the head of Culture, Ernest Urtasun
The arrival of guests to the area could be complicated if tractor-trailers like those experienced this Tuesday occur again, which blocked the main arteries of the city.
Through WhatsApp groups made up of professionals in the field, messages circulate that they call for Valladolid to collapse on Saturday coinciding with the celebration of the Goya gala.
It is the way in which in recent days tractor groups have been called in various parts of Spain to make visible the sector's discomfort with the European demands on production, the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and to demand fair prices.
These messages that circulate on the networks call to prevent people from getting to their "party", in reference to the Goya: "This year the Goya festival will be celebrated in the street."
