FC Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen will have to stay a month and a half away from the playing field after having suffered a muscle break in the soleus of his right leg, according to the medical services of the Blaugrana club.
The Dutch international was injured this Friday in training and will miss the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Madrid. Cillessen will not be able to play either the first leg next Wednesday or the return leg, which will take place on February 27.
The keeper, 29, has been one of the most outstanding players of Barça in this Copa del Rey, being vital against Sevilla in both meetings and against Levante, the tie that also had to turn the whole of Ernesto Valverde after falling in the way.
Cillessen, who left Ajax in the summer of 2016, has played a total of 7 games this season: 6 in the Cup and 1 in the Champions League. In the 630 minutes he has defended the goal culé has conceded 7 goals and has left the goal to zero twice.
