Chinese inflation rises 2.2% year-on-year in November
China's consumer price index (CPI), the main indicator of inflation, rose 2.2% year-on-year in November, three tenths less than in October, when the rise was 2.5% year-to-year, the company announced today. National Bureau of Statistics (ONE).
This institution also disclosed on Sunday that the production price index (PPI), which measures wholesale inflation, rose 2.7% year-on-year in November, a smaller figure than the 3.3% growth that this indicator had registered in October.
The inflation target of the Chinese Government for 2018 is 3%, a figure that was reaffirmed last April despite the fact that last year failed to meet similar expectations, since the advance recorded in the CPI was finally 1.6 %.
