China imposes anti-dumping measures on steel from the EU and several Asian countries

China's Ministry of Commerce announced today the imposition of anti-dumping measures on several steel products imported from the European Union, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia.

Through a statement published on its website, the agency explained that the products affected by the "temporary anti-dumping measures" are the imported stainless steel billets and the hot rolled / stainless steel rolls.

These "were dumped", so that "the national industry suffered substantial damages" and "there was a causal relationship between dumping and substantial damages".

The measures will take effect from March 23 and the import operators that import these products will have to pay deposits between 18.1% and 103.1%.
