He Chelsea has made official this Tuesday the signing of Thomas Tuchel as coach, what will replace Frank Lampard on the Stamford Bridge bench.

The German coach – the first of that nationality in Chelsea’s history – signed a 18-month contract with the possibility of extending it and will be able to lead the team this Wednesday against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tuchel, who previously he had directed Paris Saint Germain for two and a half years, replaces a Frank Lampard who came to Chelsea in 2019 and was fired due to the team’s poor results this season. The German has also led Mainz and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga and last season he reached the final of the Champions League with PSG.
