Check the measures on walks and physical exercise published in the BOE

The BOE has published the ministerial order that develops the conditions in which it will be possible to go out on the street from this Saturday, the 2nd. Those over 14 years of age may take walks with a companion and within a radius of one kilometer, without limitation of weather, as already announced on Thursday afternoon the Minister of Health, Salvador Illa. Whoever wants to do sports will have to do it individually, once a day, and there will also be no time limit, as long as it is within the municipality.

The text published this Friday in the Official State Gazette states that residents in elderly health centers may not go out to practice physical activity because they are one of the most vulnerable groups. As far as possible, walks and sports should be carried out continuously “avoiding unnecessary stops on roads or spaces for public use”.

You will not be able to take motorized vehicles or public transport to move to other places where you can practice sports. For the rest, it will be possible to move on any road or space for public use, including authorized natural spaces and green areas, provided that the distance limits are respected. Access to closed sports facilities for the practice of these activities will not be allowed.

The plan is conditional on schedules, as Illa announced: for sports and walks, they can be done between 6:00 and 10:00 in the morning or between 20:00 and 23:00. Those who have to leave assisted by a caregiver, will have to do it from 10.00 to 12.00 or from 19.00 to 20.00. It is the same strip that is reserved for those over 70 years of age. The walks with the children are limited from 12.00 to 19.00, and the limit of a maximum of one hour is maintained.

There will be two exceptions in which the time bands will not apply: in the municipalities and entities with a territory less than the municipality that administer separate population centers with a population equal to or less than 5,000 inhabitants (the hours will be between 6:00 a.m. and 23:00) and in cases where for duly accredited medical reasons they have been recommended to do so at other times.

To enable the safety distance to be maintained, local authorities will facilitate the distribution of public space “in favor of those who walk and those who ride bicycles, in that order of priority.”

On the other hand, although the non-professional practice of sport must be individual, there will be an exception for people who “by necessity have to go out accompanied” and may do so by “a person living together, a person employed by a dependent household or a regular caregiver “
