Celaá rejects Casado's proposal to recentralize education

The Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Isabel Celaá, has shown today "against" the proposal of the president of the PP, Pablo Casado, to recentralize the competences in education.

"I am against," Celaá assured journalists when he arrived at the Education Commission of the Congress where he now appears to explain the educational reform proposed by the Government.

Last weekend, Casado announced that his party is going to present an alternative proposal to the educational reform of the Executive so that education is a state competence even if administered by the autonomous communities.

In an act of electoral campaign in Granada, Casado defended that education "has to be Spanish competition, of the State", because that is what the Constitution says, and insisted that the State must be the owner of the competition, although the community administer
