TheFederation of Services to the Citizenship of Comisiones Obreras Canarias (FSC-CCOO)has presented this Thursday before the Labor Inspectorate a complaint against theAlaire S.L. for the dismissal of six workers and for the breach of the sectoral agreement on handling.
This is stated by CCOO in a statement in which it explains that on Monday, July 1, was scheduled to make effective the subrogation of 17 workers of the Eurotransmex company by Alaire SL, companies engaged in the transport of goods and mail that operate in the cargo terminal of the airport of Gran Canaria.
However, the six subrogated workers at the time of presenting to their new job received a letter of disciplinary dismissal from the manager of Human Relations of Alaire SL, which pointed CCOO is "paradoxical", since the union "does not understand how you can dismiss for indiscipline someone who has never worked in that company. "
These facts, the union said, "seriously violate" the sectoral agreement on ground assistance at the airport, while considering that subrogation and the guarantee of the job "is a fundamental piece in a sector, such as air, affected by such a fluctuating activity. "
For their part, the dismissed workers, together with the head of the air sector of FSC-CCOO, have met with the director of the airport of Gran Canaria to convey the "need for AENA to be guarantor" of compliance with the sectoral agreement on handling by part of the companies that operate in their airports, requesting their intervention in the conflict.
CCOO has indicated that "operational licenses should not be granted to companies with low reliability that can not guarantee" compliance with signed agreements.
