The CCOO union has called off the strike days it had planned for tomorrow, Friday, at public companies Renfe and Adif, after assessing the pre-agreement for the second collective agreement in the railway sector, so that the strike will only be seconded by the CGT minority center.
It's a statement, CCOO has indicated that it revokes the strike days foreseen in Renfe for tomorrow and the 7th of January, while, in the case of Adif, it only revokes the first of them, and leaves the decision on January 7 pending.
CCOO understands that the pre-agreement of the agreement "includes a large part of the demands included in the call for strike", besides the possibility of "continuing to develop, in the work tables that are opened, other issues that also concern and occupy".
Sources of Renfe have informed Efe that the minimum services are maintained according to the forecasts, since the CGT has not called off the strike.
Some 1,000 medium-distance, high-speed and long-distance trains and goods will be affected tomorrow, according to the railway operator.
Renfe reached the pre-agreement with the unions Semaf and UGT, majority in the works committee, which is composed of 4 members of Semaf, 3 of UGT, 3 of CCOO, 2 of CGT and 1 of SF-Intersindical.
CCOO has highlighted that Renfe It has committed to make the necessary steps before the Government to obtain the maximum possible replacement rate, as well as the salary increase collected in the bill of General State Budgets has been finalized and the increase of 0.5% has been closed linked to productivity in 2018, among other improvements.
In the case of Adif, CCOO has indicated that the company is committed, within 48 hours, to submit a draft collective agreement that would contemplate the claims of CCOO, including the commitment to request income over the departures in the company, concrete salary increases and materialize in the next 4 months the reduction of working hours.
According Renfe, the agreement allows us to face the year 2019 in better conditions from the labor point of view (especially in matters such as the retirement of workers of retirement age and the incorporation of new professionals to the group), as well as to face with guarantees the most relevant aspects of in the coming years: liberalization in the passenger transport market, the future of freight transport and the maintenance model, the internationalization process and the conversion of Renfe in an integral mobility operator.
The Agreement contemplates in one of its clauses the organization of Development Tables (Employment and Competitiveness, Economic, Personal, Day, Equality and Socio-Labor Aspects, and Regulations), which will continue working in these areas during their validity. This pre-agreement, which guarantees an agreement with a validity of two years that can be extended to another one, will be submitted for authorization to the Commission for Monitoring Collective Bargaining in public companies.
