Castilla-La Mancha intervenes in a residence for the elderly in Guadalajara after detecting 28 COVID infections

The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has proceeded to adopt health intervention measures at the Virgen del Camino Campos residence for the elderly, privately managed and located on General Moscardó Guzmán street in Guadalajara, upon detecting non-compliance with the measures established in the protocols security against COVID-19. In total, according to sources from the provincial delegation, 28 positives have been registered among residents. Of these, 18 have been transferred to another health center, 9 have been admitted to the hospital and one has died.

In the last inspection carried out, the existence of a “high number” of residents affected by coronavirus was confirmed, so it was decided to admit some of them to hospital, as well as the transfer of the rest to another residence.

In this regard, the regional government specifies that the families of the transferred residents have been informed at all times.

This action is part of the actions in the field of sanitary inspection that have been carried out since the beginning of the sanitary crisis in the socio-sanitary centers of the province of Guadalajara.
