Caputova wins presidential elections in Slovakia, according to first results



Liberal ecologist Zuzana Caputova has won the second round of Slovakia's presidential election on Saturday, according to the first preliminary results, the country's Bureau of Statistics reported.

After the scrutiny of 38% of the votes, Caputova, a lawyer of 45 years, triumphed with 58% of the votes on her rival, the diplomat and vice president of the European Commission Maros Sefcovic, who got 42%.
