Cantabrian hoteliers have “problems” hiring professionals who prefer to charge the IMV

This was expressed this Wednesday by the president of the Cantabrian Hospitality Business Association (AEHC), Ángel Cuevas, and the general director, Bárbara Gutiérrez, in a meeting with the press in which they were accompanied by the entity’s lawyer, Jesús Vélez have reviewed the situation of the sector at present, as well as the main problems and demands of the group.

Problems finding workers

Finally, the AEHC lawyer has considered that the IMV issue is still “very green”Therefore, there are those who prefer to “wait a bit” before joining work and making their “numbers”, to calculate how much they would earn working and, where appropriate, with the minimum vital income.

“No worker wants to stop working”

The Vice President of the Government of Cantabria, Pablo Zuloaga, said today that he does not believe that “no worker wants to stop working for an income of 400 euros», After yesterday the hospitality association made sure that it has trouble hiring because some prefer to collect the minimum income.

Asked about this matter at the press conference on the agreements of the Governing Council, Zuloaga opined that «there is no worker in Cantabria who does not want to work in a job that guarantees their rights and of course, with a decent salary, “he emphasized.
