Likewise, in the last 24 hours there were no deaths associated with the complications of the virus, something that had not happened since February 1, taking into account the notifications issued by the health administration.
By islands, Tenerife added 44 cases this Sunday; Gran Canaria 67; Lanzarote nine; Fuerteventura nine; and La Palma two. On the contrary, La Gomera and El Hierro managed to chain another day without registering new detections of the pathogen.
Since the last balance, only 33 epidemiological discharges have been issued, bringing to 41,431 the number of people who have managed to overcome the condition in the autonomous community.
Right now, in the Canary Islands there are 4,155 patients suffering from the pathology, of which 2,146 are located in Tenerife, which translates into 51.6% of the total in the region. Gran Canaria, on the other hand, has 1,652, which makes it the second island most affected by this pandemic. Fuerteventura follows, with 260; Lanzarote, with 74; and La Palma, with 23. El Hierro and La Gomera remain free of coronavirus.
Until yesterday, in the Archipelago hospitals there were 289 people admitted to Covid plants and 79 in intensive care units.
