Despite the complicated moment that aviation is going through, the summer season comes withthe opening of 35 new connectionsthat will connect the archipelago with different European and North African cities, and that will improve the connectivity also between the islands themselves.
Specific,32 lines will connect the Canary Islands with countries such as the Czech Republic,France, Germany, Italy, Mauritania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Ukraine. In addition, three new routes that will unite La Palma with Tenerife Sur, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are also being premiered.
These routes will be operated by Starwings, EasyJet, Jetairfly, Corendon Airlines Europe, TUIfly, Alba Star, Mauritanian Airlines International, Corendon Dutch Airlines, Wizz Air, Tap Air Portugal, Vueling Airlines,Norwegian,Ryanair, SkyUP Airlines, Ukraine International Airlines andBinter Canarias.

The task of capturing routes that is carried out by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports through Promotur Turismo de Canarias focuses, in the words of its managing director, María Méndez, "on improving the connectivity between the Archipelago and the rest of the world, and includes the permanent dialogue with the airlines and with other relevant actors of the aviation sector such as airports and tour operators ".
The presentation of the offer of island destinations highlighting the potential of the Canary Islands for their expansion plans is paramount. In this sense,the first important appointment will be precisely between April 8 and 10, when the Routes Europa meeting will be held in Hannover, Germany, and to which Promotur will attend with an intense work agenda and more than 20 meetings, in order to strengthen the air capacity towards the Islands and open new routes.
