The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has registered this monday 78 new infections by coronavirus, a figure that indicates a decreasing trend in the number of new patients in the Islands. Another positive data is the absence of deaths from the virus in the last 24 hours, so the figure remains at 233 since yesterday two deaths were recorded in Gran Canaria.

This Tuesday, in addition, they have registered 191 highs (6,195 in total), so the number of active cases in the Archipelago drops to 6,919, 113 people less than yesterday.

The new data replaces Tenerife as the Island with the highest number of daily infections, a position that Gran Canaria held until now. In the last hours 46 people have fallen ill in Tenerife (3,935), and 20 have done so in the round island (7,439). In Fuerteventura there are 4 new affected by Covid (610) and in Lanzarote there has been 1 positive (1084). La Gomera today adds up to 7 cases (54) and La Palma (179) and El Hierro (46) have not added new infections for two days.
