Last weekend Canarian sailing once again stood out in national competitions, achieving four Spanish championships, one runner-up and a third place in Valencia in the 29er class.. In the Spanish Adapted Sailing Championship, the title was obtained in the Individual and Double categories in the waters of Almería. All of them sailors from the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria.
To this must be added the presence of sailors from the Canarian Sailing Federation at the top of the podium of the Villalia Open de España in the J70 class held in Vigo.
In the 29er class, Paula Laiseca and Elena Barrio achieved the women’s titles of champions of Spain Absolute and Sub19. Álvaro Alonso and Guillermo Castellano won the same awards in the Male category. Along with them, Isabel Laiseca and Paula Barrio enjoyed the podium as runners-up in Absoluta Femenina and Carlos Navas and Gonzalo Bonilla as third in Absoluta Masculino.
Daniel Llaca and Jaime Lang-Lenton prevailed in the Double category in the Spanish Adapted Sailing Championship, the same did Moisés Farías in the Individual category.
In the J80 Spanish Open it was Rayco Tabares from the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife who achieved victory as a tactician aboard the “Noticia”, his clubmate Alfredo González and Alberto Padrón from the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria finished third.
