The Spanish soccer coach, Luis Enrique Martínez, announced this Friday the List of called for the matches that will face the national team with Portugal, Switzerland and Ukraine, corresponding to the UEFA Nations League and that will be played on the 7th, 10th and 13th of this month of October.
Luis Enrique facilitates a call for 25 footballers, with two more than usual, “due to the situation of the pandemic” and before the three matches that the Spanish team faces, one more than usual in the breaks for international matches.
The great novelty, and the only player who receives his first call to the senior team, is Levante footballer José Campaña. In addition, others of recent inclusion are summoned, such as Unai Simón, Eric García, Sergio Reguilón, Mikel Merino, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and Adama Traoré, as well as Sergio Canales and Dani Ceballos, who return to the list.
In the list they also highlight, with respect to the previous citation, the absences of Thiago Alcántara, because of his positive in Covid-19, the Galician Iago Aspas and the player of the Real Madrid Marco Asensio, still lacking rhythm after recovering from his serious injury.
Luis Enrique also continues without counting players who before his return to office were habitual in the selection calls as Jordi Alba, Íñigo Martínez, Isco Alarcón, Saúl Ñiguez or Álvaro Morata.
