Calviño supports the strengthening of the ICO as a public investment bank and integrates the CDTI, Enisa and IDAE into it

In his appearance before the commission of the branch in Congress, Calviño has defended this operation in order to "maximize its impact for the mobilization of public and private investment necessary" in challenges such as ecological transition, digitalization, R&D I do science.

In this regard, he pointed out that "at the community level" operations of this type are being carried out, starting with the European Investment Bank (EIB), and in the case of ICO he has cited the integration of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI ), the National Innovation Company (Enisa) and the Institute for Diversification and Energy Saving (IDAE).

All this without counting on it with Bankia, because it has placed this entity as "an operator managed by absolutely private criteria" and whose role in the public sector as "one of the inheritances of the crisis".

For the entity chaired by José Ignacio Goirigolzarri, Calviño has opted to "not act in a hurried manner" in order to "maximize" the recovery of aid granted for rescue.
