Calviño, satisfied by the mobilizations against climate change

The acting Minister of Economy and Business, Nadia Calviño, has been satisfied with the social mobilization that brought thousands of people on Friday to support the fight against climate change and has ensured that Spain is "supporting" and " leading ”measures to advance that battle.

Speaking to the media after attending an event with businessmen in Cádiz, Calviño explained that the Spanish Government "is one of the most committed in the fight against climate change," and has set as an example the messages that the president in office Pedro Sánchez launched at the recent United Nations meeting.

“It is a challenge for all and a reality on which we cannot close our eyes,” said the minister, who has invited “to take advantage of the good progress of the economy to address the necessary reforms with which prosperity can be achieved and well-being, but in a sustainable way ”.

Calviño recalled that the "resources we have are finite" and insisted that "we must change the productive structure to leave a better world for children and grandchildren."

The minister has acknowledged feeling "satisfied by the social mobilization that we support and lead from the Government because the green pact, that we call the 'green new deal', is a fundamental element of our economic agenda and our program for the next four years".
