Boxed has joined the sponsorship of the adapted sailing vessel and its participation in the Spanish Cup, a tangible project in line with its commitment to culture, equality and sport.
The Spanish Cup of Hansa 303 that is taking place between 7 and 10 February in Javea, with the participation of Daniel Llaca and Jaime Lang-Lenton, the first one in the individual category and together with Lang-Lenton, in the competition in pairs. It is the first time that they sail together in a national test and they trust in their possibilities.
Jaime and Daniel coincided in their childhood sailing in the facilities of the Real Club Nautico de Gran Canaria in the Optimist junior class, but a kidney failure separated Daniel at age 17 from the candle, when he became involved with a hip fracture and a tear the tendons of the quadriceps, which after successive operations, now force him to carry crutches to be able to walk.
Thanks to the support of Cajasiete and the RCNGC, these two sailors have planned in their sports calendar in this 2019, participate in the Championship of Spain to celebrate from June 20 to 23 and in the World Championship from July 1 to July 7, to dispute both in Puerto Sherry (Cádiz).
"Three years ago I went back to sailing thanks to the bet of my Club for this type of boats. In the beginning it was Luis Ley who promoted the Adapted Sailing School and now it is Alejandro Morales who has taken the baton. Sailing in Hansa 303 or 2.4 mR, where we can all compete without distinction, is a luxury, "said Llaca, at the end of a training session." The coaches and sponsors are fundamental axes so that the project of inclusion does not decay and be a true reality in all fields of work and sports life. Thanks to Cajasiete, Abrandia and the Foundation as well, Jaime and I will participate in the next Spanish Cup. I am very excited because it will be a test of fire, after an ill-fated 2018, where I had to spend many months in the hospital. "
