The British magazine Euromoney has awarded three prizes to CaixaBank: better bank in Spain 2019, better responsible banking in Western Europe 2019 and better banking transformation in Western Europe 2019, according to the entity itself.
In a statement, CaixaBank – headed by Jordi Gual and headed by Gonzalo Gortázar – argues that the three awards represent recognition of the bank's transformation in recent years to become the leading retail banking and digital banking entity in Spain and Portugal, and in a benchmark in Europe in socially responsible banking.
The Euromoney awards highlight the leading entities not only for their financial profitability, but also, among other factors, for their growth, their positive evolution compared to their competitors, and their ability to adapt to market conditions.
For Jordi Gual, these awards are a recognition of the entity's efforts to fulfill its mission of contributing to the financial well-being of its customers and the progress of society. Gortázar recalled that the bank has developed a business model based on specialization and quality of service, which has allowed, he said, continue to grow in a sustainable manner even in an environment of adverse types.
