Gortázar explained that "special attention" has been given to projects linked to issues such as the fight against poverty and climate change. «Highlights such milestones as the issuance, for the first time in Spain by a bank, of a Social Bond in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals», with which CaixaBank has captured 1 billion of euros to finance loans for social projects and of employment creation in the most disadvantaged areas of Spain, he explained.
