José Juan Calero and Julio Romero expressed their satisfaction after the second year of joint organization

With the awards ceremony held at the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, the acts of the «XI César Manrique Trophy – RCNA – Calero Marinas» ended, which held its regattas from Thursday to Saturday.

The last day of regattas
decided the rankings in the general and by groups, which were already almost outlined from the first day. Joaquín Blanco Roca's «Butxaca» (RCNGC) was proclaimed the absolute winner, followed on the podium by «Lanzarote Sailing Paradise» skippered by Alejandro Morales (RCNA) and «Alpispa 2» of the Varadero Maritime Club with Francisco J. Olivares at the helm.

The ORC 1 to 2 class was awarded to the «Lanzarote Sailing Paradise», in ORC 3 to 5
victory for «Butxaca» and in Special ORC 3 to 5 Agustín Espinosa's “Lancelot” won (independent).

The awards ceremony was chaired by Julio Romero, president of the RCNA; the director of Calero Marinas, José Juan Calero. Both expressed their satisfaction with the experience for the second consecutive year of the joint organization between the RCNA and Calero Marinas. Along with them were the Councilor for Sports of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Alfredo Mendoza; the vice president of the RFCV, Felipe Brito; the president of CM Varadero, Jorge del Corral; Ye Cabrera, RCNA fleet captain; the chief commissioner of the National Police, José Luis Gutiérrez and the chief colonel of the Marqués de Herrera Barracks, Rafael Marco.

Prizes were awarded with a reproduction of a César Manrique drawing converted into a sculpture to the overall winner and to the winners of each class. sculptures with
marine motifs rewarded the second and third place finishers in each class.

Veteran sailors Miguel Ángel Armas Matallana (RCNA), Cristóbal Amador Pérez (RCNT) and Felipe del Rosario Hernándezeach received a sculpture of the "Devil of Timanfaya", which rewarded them for their continued participation in the César Manrique and San Ginés regattas, considering them as sailing legends.

After the awards ceremony, the RCNA and Calero Marinas offered a dinner to the participants who ended the night with a dance party.
