Budó says that European justice has repaired “very serious damage to democracy”

He said this Sunday during the Festa dels Tonis de Taradell (Barcelona), where he defended that European justice repaired “the people who presented themselves and were voted as MEPs”, referring to the former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont and former seller Toni Comín, who will participate this Monday in its first plenary session in the Eurocamara, informed the Generalitat in a statement.

Budó has assured that the Government will also attend to support ERC leader and former Vice President of the Generalitat, Oriol Junqueras: “We believe that Monday should also be in Europe as a member of the European Parliament,” added Budó.

On the new ministers of the Government of PSOE and United We can, the minister has maintained that, although the Government has not yet made a joint assessment, “govern who governs, the ministers have not had much sensitivity towards Catalonia in recent years.”

In addition, the spokeswoman for the Government has stressed that in the meeting that must take place between the President of the Generalitat and the President of the Government “they must address how Catalonia is treated in Spain.”

Budó has described the Festa dels Tonis as a reference in Catalonia, as it considers that it adds value and that it is “capable of bringing out traditions, and the agricultural and livestock origin of these lands.”
