The spokesman for the Generalitat, Meritxell Budó, explained on Thursday that teams from the Catalan and Spanish governments are working to decide aspects of the meeting, on the 26th, of the dialogue table, such as place, people and format of the encounter.
Budó has made these statements in Terrassa, where he has met with the local mayor, Jordi Ballart, in the framework of a meeting of the Joint Commission between the Generalitat and the City Council.
In a letter sent Thursday to the President of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, the head of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, informs him that he accepts the date of February 26 for the meeting after Torra informed him that for reasons of agenda he could not meet him next Monday and propose five alternative dates, including that February 26.
The Minister explained that, although they have had telephone information, they have not yet received the letter from the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, in which the date for the meeting of the dialogue table is agreed.
"We have not yet received the response letter, by telephone we have been told that we will receive it because the proposal - from the president of the Generalitat - marks that can be held on February 26," Budó said.
“We have no problem in the place where that meeting has to be held, if it has to be in La Moncloa it will be in La Moncloa, the teams are working to determine the location, the format of the meeting and the members that will be part of the meeting” , has added.
In this regard, Budó recalled that this morning President Quim Torra and the Vice President of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, have met to continue working on the agenda and composition of the meeting.
