Bruno Estrada, economist, talk about history with Ignacio Escolar

This Wednesday, November 25, Ignacio Escolar will talk at 5:00 p.m. about history with Bruno Estrada. The economist has just published the book in Catarata 20 reasons not to steal the history of Spain, a title that collects the most unknown side of what happened in our country in the last 3,000 years.
Estrada, attached to the Secretary General of CCOO, proposes a new vision of the history of Spain, dismantling some of the topics that have been perpetuated throughout the centuries. In the prologue of the book, Joan Herrera highlights the "resignification of the idea of Spain" that is made in this story, an idea "often associated with conquest, other times with a backward vision" that paints a "gray, authoritarian and nothing creative. "
So, 20 reasons not to steal the history of Spain gives an alternative reading to the reactionary version, denounces how a part of the right has tried to appropriate the story and highlights the lights that we find in our past: from the modernity of the Institución Libre de Enseñanza, to the importance of our labor movement or the multitude of women who made history and were the vanguard in our country.
Readers and partners of elDiario.es can send their questions on all these matters to Bruno Estrada. The meeting can be followed live on eldiario.es, through Facebook Live and in Twitter, with Periscope. We will wait for you!
