BMW will call to review about 65,000 vehicles in South Korea for fires

The South Korean subsidiary of the BMW group will call to review more than 65,000 vehicles for possible repairs after the fire in more than thirty cars of the German multinational sold in the Asian country.

The recall plan will start on November 26 and will affect 65,763 vehicles belonging to 52 diesel models of the BMW and Mini brands, the Ministry of Territory, Infrastructure and Transport said today in a statement.

The company has detected in these 52 models the possibility that the system recirculation of gas (ERG) work in a defective way, the origin, according to BMW, of the dozens of fires registered in South Korea this year.

Due to the danger of fire, the German carmaker already made a recall in South Korea in August that affected some 106,000 vehicles of 42 models and also called for revision about 324,000 cars in Europe.
