Blanca Marsillach lands in Moya to represent a theater play with older people – La Provincia

The actress and producer Blanca Masillach lands this Thursday, November 29, at the Villa de Moya, in Gran Canaria, to present the play Between Verses and Marsillach, a project of scenic arts around the poetry digested to the elderly, with the aim of promoting skills such as memory or integration through their participation in a theatrical performance. The Theater Company of Blanca Marsillach and the Obra Social "la Caixa" promote this project, which also pays homage to the renowned director and actor Adolfo Marsillach, father of the actress, with the adaptation of the work he played at the time with Amparo Rivelles and María Jesús Valdés.

In this initiative, which will be represented on Friday, November 30, at 6:00 p.m., ten elderly from the Senior Center of Las Palmas-Ciudad Alta in agreement with the Ministry of Employment, Social Policies and Housing of the Canary Islands Government, will join Blanca Marsillach Y Begoña Mencía to recite poems from the Golden Age in front of the projected image of Marsillach Sr. The objective of this theatrical proposal, which the participants have been rehearsing for a week, contributes to the development of preventive exercises such as memorization or recitation, which can help improve the welfare and personal autonomy of the elderly.
