The Gran Canarian palms will celebrate the seventh edition of its night race on November 16, belonging this year to the Binter NightRun Series. This circuit of national character was born encompassing three cities and three dates distributed throughout the present 2019 coinciding with the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the airline.
It becomes like this the largest call for night running in the country with 30,000 euros of cash prizes, 15,000 destined to the capital meeting that repeats with the distances of 10 kilometers, with the trophy athletes with disabilities, individual Half Marathon and relays. In 2018 it already gathered 4,200 runners of 41 nationalities and with a 40 percent female participation registering an increase of seven percent of athletes coming from beyond the island with respect to 2017.
The Roman Park hosted the presentation where the details were revealed and the opening of registrations was informed through the official website www.binternightrun.com. The initiative will connect Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (November 16), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (May 18) and Palma de Mallorca (September 28).
The mayor, Augusto Hidalgo, the councilor of sports, Aridany Romero, of the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the sports director of the event, Aarón Sánchez, made the details known from the organizational section, while the sports councilor the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Ángel Víctor Torres, the Advisor to the Ministry of Tourism, Ángel López, and the head of Communication and Institutional Relations of Binter, Olga Castrillón, agreed on the relevance of this event.
