Batet, on a solution for Catalonia: "Self-government is the meeting point"

In a Rac1 interview collected by Europa Press, he said that the solution for Catalonia "can only come from politics" and has opted for dialogue between the Government and the Generalitat, and between Catalan political forces because, according to her, society Catalan is fractured which is practically in two blocks.

And he has criticized the attitude and statements of some parties because "they seem to live comfortably in the confrontation" and has assured that political forces have a responsibility to improve coexistence, peace and security.

He has declared that the celebration of the Council of Ministers in Barcelona represents normality and "respect for citizens", and has considered it good that the Executive meets in different parts of Spain in recognition of the decentralized autonomous State.

He also congratulated the Mossos d'Esquadra and the other police forces that participated in the 21D security device because they acted efficiently and with "absolute cooperation".

On the declarations of the Conseller of the Presidency of the Generalitat, Elsa Artadi, questioning the importance of the agreements of the Council of Ministers, Batet recalled that the increase in the minimum inter-professional wage by 22% "affects all Spanish citizens" and also has highlighted the salary increase for public employees and investment in roads.

He also said that the change of name from the Barcelona-El Prat Airport to Josep Tarradellas implies recognition "of what the beginning of democracy meant" in Spain and the approval of the first Estatut de Catalunya.

On the meeting in January between Artadi, the vice president of the Government, Pere Aragonès, and the vice president of the Government, Carmen Calvo, and another minister, has indicated that there is still no fixed date or place.
