LaLiga made public the cost limit for sports staff of the LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank clubs for the current season. Barcelona is the club with the highest limit (over 656 million euros), followed by Real Madrid (641). In third place is the Atlantic with 348 million. The first team with the lowest limit is Mallorca (33.5 million).
In LaLiga SmartBank the highest limit is Girona (29.2 million), while the lowest is that of Ponferradina (4.2 million).
The limits have been increased compared to last season, where Barcelona was already the club with the highest limit.
This staff cost limit is the maximum amount that each club / SAD can consume during the 2019/2020 season after the winter market, and that includes spending on players, first coach, second coach and physical coach of the first team (template inscribable according to Article 38 of the Budget Preparation Standards). This limit also includes spending on subsidiaries, quarry and other sections (non-registrable workforce, as defined in Article 38 of the Budget Preparation Rules).
The concepts that are included in the cost limit of inscribable and non-registrable sports squad are: fixed and variable salaries, social security, collective bonuses, acquisition expenses (including agent commissions) and amortizations (player purchase amount charged annually depending on the number of years of the player’s contract).
