Banking default falls to 6.32% in August and remains at 2011 lows



The delinquency of the credit granted by the financial entities that operate in Spain was reduced in August to 6.32%, slightly below the 6.35% marked in July, which means that the indicator remains at its lowest level since March 2011.

According to the provisional data published today by the Bank of Spain, the improvement in the delinquency rate is largely explained by the drop in unpaid loans, which fell to 75,762 million euros, compared to 77,333 million in July .

Likewise, the volume of loans that banks, savings banks and credit unions had granted to their customers in August also fell to 1,199 billion euros, compared to 1,217 billion the previous month.
