Bankia appoints Laura González Molero as the new non-executive director of the bank

The Board of Directors of Bankia has given the green light to the appointment of Laura González Molero As the new independent director of the entity, the financial entity has informed in a press release. In this way, González Molero has joined this body as non-executive counselor of the bank after having received all the relevant authorizations from the European Central Bank (ECB).

From the entity have stressed that the new member of his council has been President of Bayer HealthCare Latin America (2014-2016), CEO of Merck Group Spain (2007-2011), Vice President, as well as CEO of Serono Iberia (2002-2006). Currently, González Molero is also an independent counselor of Viscofan, Acerinox and Ezentis.

In addition, the new counselor is Degree in Pharmacy, Industrial specialty, from the Complutense University of Madrid; Master Executive MBA by IE Business School and superior course in Marketing by CECO.

After its incorporation, the Board of Directors of the entity is composed of 12 advisers, of which four are executives and eight are independent: José Ignacio Goirigolzarri, José Sevilla, Antonio Ortega, Carlos Egea, Joaquín Ayuso, Francisco Javier Campo, Eva Castillo, Jorge Cosmen, José Luis Feito, Fernando Fernández, Laura González Molero and Antonio Greño.
