Bank employees support strikes in Germany in April



Some 200,000 bank employees in Germany will support strikes in April, to press ahead of the start of the third round of collective bargaining negotiations.

The first will be held tomorrow in Hamburg employees of Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank and Hamburger Sparkasse Savings Bank, reported today the service sector union Verdi, which has called strikes in several German cities and in several days.

The second protest action will be held on April 5 in Berlin and other cities in the federal states of Hesse, Brandenburg, Baden-Württemberg and the regions of Münsterland and Ostwestfalen / Lippe.

The third round of negotiations of the collective agreement for the German banking sector begins on April 11.
