The Italian Francesco Bagnaia sounded the local anthem at the Italian Grand Prix, adding his second victory of the course. Frenchman Fabio Quartararo was the second to cross the finish line, establishing himself at the top of the MotoGP general classification. Third place went to the Spaniard Aleix Espargaró, keeping the Aprilia rider fully in the fight for the championship, just eight points behind the Frenchman, with his fourth consecutive podium finish.

The victory went to Bagnaia, but much of the spotlight was on Marc Márquez, who, before undergoing a new operation in the next few days with no scheduled return date, finished in tenth place. This is why the one from Cervera was especially excited in view of the uncertainty that exists before his future.
