Asma al Asad, wife of the Syrian president, Bachar al Asad, announced that he has "completely" overcome breast cancer that was diagnosed a year ago.
"My trip has ended with all its pain, fatigue, its negative and even positive aspects; thank God it's over … I have completely defeated cancer," he said in an interview with Syrian television broadcast today by the SANA state agency.
