The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has canceled this Monday her attendance at the Almudena mass due to a positive for coronavirus in her environment. The regional president is in “preventive” quarantine waiting to know the result of all the tests that have been carried out, they have reported from the communication department of the regional government.
Díaz Ayuso has undergone a test this morning that has been negative and is waiting to know the result of the rest of the tests “and thus continue with his normal schedule,” these same sources add.
While the results arrive, the regional president is following “a preventive home quarantine”, being close contact with a collaborator who has tested positive for COVID-19.
The PP leader already passed the disease in spring during the first wave. On March 16, her team reported her positive, but the Madrid president has always said that she had “mild” symptoms.
His positive then revealed that he was staying in two luxury apartments owned by businessman Kike Sarasola at a very low cost, from where the regional president conducted the interviews on different televisions. Although she was discharged on April 13 after 26 days in quarantine, the Madrid president did not leave the Room Mate aparthotels until the end of May when the region went to phase 1.
