Ayuso asks that RTVE stop being used "as a tool" against his Government

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has asked that "stop using" RTVE as a "political tool" against the autonomous government that presides, and criticizes the public corporation for being "specializing in trying to make it happen" to the "radical left" as "technical-health testimonies".

Ayuso has sent this Wednesday a letter to the sole provisional administrator of RTVE, Rosa María Mateo, in which she expresses her "deepest indignation at the attacks that the Public Health in Madrid continues to suffer" by the public radio and television corporation .

Ayuso, who already sent a letter to Mateo on the 12th to criticize the RTVE "attack" on the Madrid health system, asserts in this new document that "what were suspected two weeks ago are now certainties" since - in his opinion - "The vocation of public service of a television that should belong to everyone has been perverted".

"And, if I asked you in my last letter to end an irresponsible attitude, today I can only demand that you stop using public television as a political tool against the Government of the Community of Madrid; and that you do so immediately, because we are in the middle of a pandemic in which many lives are being lost, "adds the president of Madrid.

He supports the criticisms of RTVE with some examples of how "unfortunately" he is "specializing in trying to pass on activists from the radical left as technical-health testimonies."

"From among the thousands of psychologists who practice their profession in the Community of Madrid, Televisión Española has chosen the only one who is a councilor for Más Madrid in the City Council of the capital (referring to mayor Javier Barbero). A circumstance that his television has omitted, making the Spaniards believe at all times that they were before a technical and not a political testimony ", criticizes Ayuso.
