AVLO Madrid-Valencia transports more than 6,500 passengers at its premiere
Renfe opened this Monday services of its 'low cost' train between Madrid and Valencia with an occupancy rate of 95%, which translates into more than 6,500 passengers transported during the first day on this route, according to data provided by the company.
This figure is the accumulation of its Avlo trains and the bird that already operated on this line, which represents an increase of 200% compared to the same Monday of last year, that is, it has tripled the registrations of a year ago.
Last week, Renfe announced that had already sold almost 100,000 tickets to travel on Avlo in this relationship between Valencia and Madridincreasing high-speed demand between both cities by up to 40% compared to 2021.
In a first phase, the Avlos of the Madrid-Valencia corridor will be series 112 trains vinylated on the outside, with 365 seats each. Subsequently, in a second phase, the trains of the series 106 manufactured by Talgo and that already operate on the line Madrid-Barcelona, with 438 beds each.
for now, there will be three round trip trains between Madrid and Valencia and two of them will stop in Requena and Cuenca. The first relation will be at 6.30 from Madrid and will arrive at 8.23; another will leave at 9.28 from Valencia, will stop at 9.51 in Requena and at 10.26 in Cuenca and at 11.20 it will arrive in Madrid; At 12:40 another convoy departs from Madrid to arrive at Valencia at 2:33 p.m. (with stops in Cuenca at 1:35 p.m. and Requena at 2:09 p.m.).
In the afternoon, a train will leave Joaquín Sorolla at 4:15 p.m. which will arrive in Atocha at 5:55 p.m. and the last train from Madrid will leave at 6:40 p.m. to enter Valencia at 8:20 p.m. The last trip will be the one that departs from Valencia at 9:10 p.m., to arrive in Madrid at 11:04 p.m., with stops in Requena (9:33 p.m.) and Cuenca (10:08 p.m.).
The prices of the Avlo they will start from 7 euros and all the tickets will be in tourist class. Children under 14 years of age will have a basic rate of five euros as long as they are accompanied.
